Obituary for Dennis J. DeCoux

Dennis J. DeCoux, age 70, of Faribault, died Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at The Emeralds at Faribault.

A time of gathering will be held at VFW Post 3723 on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 1 to 4 p.m. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Arrangements are being completed by Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Dennis John, the son of Joseph and Lucille (Chavie) DeCoux, was born on November 2, 1948 in Faribault. On February 10, 1968, he married Janet Karl and together they raised six children. Dennis graduated from Bethlehem Academy in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was formerly employed by Faribault Woolen Mill, Burkhartzmeyer Shoes, Crown Cork & Seal Co. and Wal-Mart, all of Faribault. He was also in sales with real estate, Amway and Kirby vacuums. Dennis was a former member of the VFW of Faribault and he enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by five children, David (Angie) DeCoux of Faribault, Maryl (Troy) Krejci of Blooming Prairie, Benjamin DeCoux of Minneapolis, Matthew (Katy) DeCoux, and Lewis DeCoux of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Jess, Ana, Leah, Eden, Alex, and Grace and one sister, Debra DeCoux of Owatonna.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Janet; one son, Joseph DeCoux; and two siblings, Michael DeCoux and Janice Spitzack.
