Ted was truly a self-made man. After farming with Maxine at the beginning of their marriage, they moved to Minnesota where Ted began his 34-year career with the Northrup King Seed Company.

Ted was an integral part of the creation of the NK Seed Research Center near Stanton, Minnesota. He loved his time at the research center where he was involved in virtually every facet of operations.

Ted was an accomplished guitar player. He played in the United Methodist Praise Team band for many years with his “girls” as he affectionately referred to them as. Ted had amazing relationship with his Lord and Savior for his life and that sustained him through many difficult times.

Ted loved his hobby farm where he worked the long driveway year round, tended his cattle, remodeled the 1840’s farmhouse and planted beautiful trees with mom. Ted was also an exceptional woodworker. It was truly his favorite pastime when he wasn’t playing golf.

Ted was a prince of a man. He will be remembered for his quick wit, humor and kind, loving soul. He graced the life of every single person, family or otherwise, that he ever met.
