Obituary for Dwight Lee Mortland

Dwight Lee Mortland, age 79, of Faribault, died June 16, 2019 at his home.

A service of remembrance will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2 p.m.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27, 2019 for one half hour prior to the service.

Dwight Lee Mortland, the son of Lyle and Louise (Rhodes) Mortland was born on January 19, 1940 in Tyler, Minnesota.

He loved Coca Cola, unfiltered cigarettes, time with family and friends, his country, hunting with family, puttering with his roses, driving his convertibles and a good steak dinner. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Dwight is survived by his wife, Judith; children, Tammy (and Gary) Bursch, Craig Mortland, David Mortland, Shelly (and Joe) Earl and Stacy Paramore; step-son, Jeffrey (and Krisann) Wiser; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Vangness and Debbie Yessek; in-laws; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Louise Mortland; brothers, Donald, Dwain, Douglas and Delbert Mortland; sisters, Donna Goetsch and Diane Dienst and step-daughter, Jennifer Wiser.
