LEONARD POMMERANZ
Leonard H. Pommeranz, age 89 of Faribault, died on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the District One Hospital, Faribault. Services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault with the Reverend Richard L. Jorgensen, officiating. Interment will be held in the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held in the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 1 to 4 p.m. and also in the church for one hour prior to the services on Monday. Leonard Herman, the son of Robert and Meta (Melchert) Pommeranz was born on October 4, 1922 in North Morristown. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart. He married Norma Monke on January 27, 1946 in Waterville. He owned and operated Pommeranz Construction Company in Faribault for many years. Leonard and Norma loved fishing and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Norma; one daughter, Maryann (and Pastor Bob) Kaul of Montgomery; two sons, Jim (and Linda) Pommeranz of Faribault and Neil Pommeranz of Boulder, CO; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Eloise Pommeranz of Faribault; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, Meta and his stepmother, Selma (Schneider) Pommeranz.

Although I knew Mr. Pommeranz when I was a young child, I was able to see him again when they moved into Trails Edge. He would sit in a recliner in the atrium and read. He would greet me with a smile and a kind hello whenever I went to visit my mom. Please accept my sympathy and prayers that God will give you His peace.
