Gilbert H. Fruehbrodt, age 82, of Faribault, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester.
Funeral services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Henry L. Doyle officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.
Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and also for one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Gilbert H., the son of Herbert and Mary (Engler) Fruehbrodt, was born on October 17, 1929 in Faribault. Gilbert graduated from Faribault High School and served in the U. S. Army. He married Darlene G. Bauernfeind on September 6, 1960 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Wheeling Township. Gilbert was a farmer in the Warsaw Township area.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; one daughter, Dr. Judy Fruehbrodt (and Dennis Glenzinski) of Faribault; three grandchildren, Drew, Peyton and Tess Glenzinski; one sister, Marion (and Clyde) Ehlers of Fort Worth, TX; his father and mother in law, Wilmer and Helen Bauernfeind of Nerstrand; two brothers in law, Duane (and Maxine) Bauernfeind and Donald (and Sue) Katra, all of Faribault; one sister in law, Diane (and Harold) Glende of Nerstrand; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas and Gregory Fruehbrodt; his parents; and one sister, Luella Crawford.
