Rita Mae (Mrs. Eugene) Stephens, age 76 of Medford, died on Friday, March 5, 2010 at District One Hospital, Faribault.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Faribault on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 3 to 7 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.

Rita Mae, the daughter of Aloysious and Mary (Czech) Jarnot, was born April 1, 1933 in Foley. She graduated from Foley High School. On August 17, 1953 she married Eugene D. Stephens. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1993. Rita was previously employed by Point of Sales and Gemini, Inc. both of Cannon Falls.

She is survived by her six children, Douglas (and Nancy Binner) Stephens of Frontenac, Sheila Priem (and Brian Rothwell) of Hayfield (son-in-law Alan Priem of Bellechester), Darryl Stephens, Michelle Stephens and Sandra Stephens, all of Medford, and David (and Kandee Gerbracht) Stephens of Goodhue; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one sister, Rose Marie (and John) Grote of Winona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene; four sisters, Jean Kujawa, Bernice Fritz, Theodoris Brtek, Mary Ann Olson; and two brothers, Everett and Aloys Jarnot.
