Lois (Mrs. Harold) Homeier, age 85 of Wheeling Township, died on Sunday, November 15, 2009 in the Kenyon Sunset Home.
    Funeral services will be held at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Wheeling Township, Rice County, MN on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Lora Sturm officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Wheeling Township.
    Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Wednesday, November 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. and at the church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
    Lois, the daughter of Adolph and Meta (Wille) Tatge, was born April 27, 1924 in Faribault. On June 7, 1944, she married Harold H. Homeier at St. John’s Church, Wheeling Township, Rice County, MN. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1992. They farmed in Wheeling Township.
    She is survived by her son, Gordon (and Sharon) of Kenyon; five grandchildren, Brenda Homeier, Connie Homeier, Brian (and Tasha) Homeier, Chrissy (and Jim) Alexander and Michelle Homeier; six great grandchildren, Michael, Jordyn, Hailee and Josephine Homeier, Oren and Maddyn Alexander; and one daughter in law, Theron Homeier of Kenyon.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; a son, Wayne, a grandson, Terry Homeier and three brothers, Earl, Orville and Obert Tatge.
