Ernest J. Hargenrader, age 67, of Faribault, died on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.
Private services will be held for the family.
Ernest J., the son of Ernest and Patricia (Deemer) Hargenrader was born on September 3, 1942 in Oil City, PA. He married Elaine Schlief on October 26, 1963 in Fairfield, IA. They were self-employed in sales of artwork throughout the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; two daughters, Lori Hargenrader of Lonsdale and Ann (and Ron) Bultman of Faribault; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two sisters in Pennsylvania; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.

Memories

Dear Elaine and Family, We just heard about the passing of Ernie, and we want you to know you are in our prayers. We can't think of Ernie, without remembering all the jokes, true stories, "the almost-true stories" as Elaine would say. The first time we met him, was at Victoria Palms RV Resort, Donna, TX. What an experience! Elaine & Ernie were always such gracious hosts. Of course, Elaine was always left with the clean-up. She just kept working, like the Energizer Bunny and Ernie kept talking. When you moved out to Hidden Valley, to the 3,000+ square inches of property (as Ernie explained it), the partying continued. We went to the Symphony in McAllen a few times, with Louie and Laura Lee (fun). We were always entertained and laughed so much. Both of you made such a difference in our lives.
