We were so happy to see Aunt Irene again three years ago and have such wonderful memories of that last visit. The resemblance of her confirmation picture to our daughter, Tori, is remarkable and something we will never forget. God has sent the Ruschmeyer family many different directions, but that blood tie is still there and still strong. We thank God for Irene's long life and wonderful family. God's peace be with all of you as you celebrate her life. Roger and Ann Ruschmeyer

Thank you so much for giving me life, when your's was almost taken in the process. I will honor all of our moments together, the good and the bad times as I want to remember "everything" about you. My immediate family, will honor your wishes and celebrate in our own way. I loved being with you on Friday night having supper together, watching TV and eating popcorn together. I watched you as you ate your popcorn and you would drift off to sleep for a moment but than would wake up and eat somemore. I slept in your room that night and listened to you as you slept. I heard you quietly wince in pain so as not to wake me. I got up and came to your side and asked "Mom would you like something for the pain", in your quiet and frail voice you said "yes". Once the pain med took affect I listened to you fall peacefully back to sleep. The next morning you awoke and we had breakfest together, I was amazed how fast you consumed your breakfast, as in the past you would just pick at your food. I sat there and watched you as you slowly fell back to sleep. Carole came, she and I talked for awhile and decided to leave as you were sleeping for peacefully and didn't want to wake you. If I had known that you were going to die so soon, I would have waited until you woke up and said good bye before leaving. Mom, I love you and will cherish all of the times that we had together. love you, your daughter, Arlys
