Joan Pacey from Canada. I met Marnie at a confence in Canada a couple of years ago. We became great friends and emailed and talked on the phone monthly. Marnie loved jokes , people, lots of fun and was an inspiration to every one who was around. She was a very possitive up beat person who never complained and just kept on going with a big smile. Marnie we have all learned so much from you , such a beautiful kind caring person and will always be in my prayers and memories every day. God be with you
We have met and worked with Marnie on several occasions and found her to be a wonderfully talented professional. She had such a bubbly personality and would always go out of her way to help others. Her love of the woodcarving industry has really helped the industry to grow. She was an incredible editor of Carving Magazine. And, she was a terrific friend. Marnie will be greatly missed by all who met her. We are happy to know that Marnie is now pain free and she will be smiling down on all of us for eternity. We would like to wish God's Blessing on all Marnie's family. Tim & PJ
I have been living in Lakeville for the past eight years, but I still get the Faribault Daily News. That is where I learned about Marnie's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Marnie when she was co-chair of the District One Hospital Auxiliary. I loved her positive, upbeat attitude and her wonderful ideas. She had that 'can-do' spirit that made her special. I will keep her in my prayers. Judy (Tartaglia) Misencik
To the Whillock Family. You'll be in my prayers. I am glad that I had many opportunities with Marnie and the boys growing up as family friend. I'll cherish the memories; Hide and Seek, Kick the Can, the summer county fairs, Science museum trips, the heart-throb cafe. May Christ hold your family close in celebration of Marnie's life. God Bless Michael D. McDonough
WE ONLY MET MARNIE ONCE, AT THE SHOW IN FORT MEYERS WHEN HER MAGAZINE FIRST CAME OUT. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH HER AND HAVE ENJOYED THE MAGAZINE GREATLY. WE SEND OUR PRAYERS TO HER FAMILY AT THIS TIME OF LOSS. MAY YOU ALL REMEMBER THE GOOD DAYS YOU HAVE HAD WITH MARNIE. WITH LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP ROSS AND BARBARA OAR
I cannot imagine a more loving and wonderful sister, daughter, mother, spouse than Marnie. It was a privilege to know her and admire her many talents in business, editing, carving, and supporting all her friends and family in so many ways. She did not let her illness win, but lived her life to the fullest as long as her strength allowed. A real hero in my book! She will be greatly missed.
My memories of Marnie go way back . I remember what a vibrant person she was during her H.S. days. She was a favorite of both Harry and I . She was always so positive even during down times. My sympathy to you all. She will certainly be missed by many. Sincerely, Kay Janky
She will be missed by many who are involved in the arts, especially in the area of woodcarving. Her editorship of the "Woodcarving" is really appreciated because, in this way, she has helped many of us.
Ivan and Mary: Although I never had the pleasure of knowing your daughter well, I wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May God be with you on Friday as you Celebrate her life.

I only knew Marnie from our online chats and emails but came to feel like we were friends. She was very helpful to me when I was going through a cancer "scare" and we had lots of laughs. Here is a favorite quote of mine that I would like to send to Marnie: "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." - Clyde Campbell My deepest condolences to Marnie's family.
Marnie has done much good for her family and community in her 44+ years of earthly living. Surely, she remains in the hearts of all who have been closely knit to her. May she rest in eternal peace and rise in majestic glory. Let light perpetual shine upon her and all the departed, through God's grace and mercy. Be blessed and strengthened. With compassion and prayers
Knowing Marnie was one of the greatest blessings that came from being a woodcarver. I'm glad her struggle here on earth is over, but my heart and thoughts go to all her friends and family who will miss her for a very long time. I know I sure will. Love & HUGS, Marnie - Love & HUGS.
Marnie was a lovely, talented person, she will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with her.
I never had the opportunity to meet Marnie - however, she went out of her way to personally email me and send me a free copy of the Winter 2006 issue of Carving Magazine when I posted on the Carving Mag forum asking where I could find it. I had been frustrated after repeated trips to my local Barnes & Noble to get it. I couldn't believe that the Editor of the magazine went out of her way to make sure that I got. I subscribed immediately after her email. Such a thoughtful and caring person to go out of her way like that. She won my devotion and I only wish I had gotten the opportunity to attend a Carve Fest and meet her in person. She will be sorely missed. My prayers go with her to speed her on her way, and to her family who must miss her terribly. Blessings and peace to you. ChuckT
I owe Marice so much because of Carving Magazine where I met her. Oh, how I'll miss her. I know I'll meet her in person some day in Heaven with Jesus Christ.
I had never met Marnie face to face but we have talked many times via email, mostly about her magazine, but many times also about the Lord, she was a special lady, always a kind word....my username on her chat is Hi Ho Sliver and she always got a kick out of saying Hi Ho Hi Ho.....I will miss that and Marnie....Remember those of us that know the Lord will meet with her again in Heaven. God bless all of Marnies close family and friends. Dave

Marnie came out to Oklahoma and photographed an article we did for Carving Magazine and we had a very good time with her. We laughed alot and enjoyed each others company. I know the woodcarving world will sorely miss her along with others she touched. Our hearts go out to her family and may the good Lord hold you in his loving arms and comfort all of you in this time of sorrow. You will be in our prayers.
I was honored to meet Marnie once at her father's studio. Later we developed a business relationship that allowed me to know her much better. The Whillock family is in our thoughts and prayers; Theresa and I will miss her.
