I loved to visit aunt Verda as a kid in Minnesota. My brothers and I loved her very much. Mike Wagner
we are very sorry to hear about Verda you have our deepest Sympathy Clarence used to be my bus driver.
I was saddened to hear of the passing of my Aunt Verda. She was my father, Leland Wagner's, sister. Visits to Aunt Verda and Uncle Clarence were some of the happiest memories of my childhood. She wrote me frequently, always providing news about her children and husband of whom she was very proud. God bless the Weiske family. Mike Wagner
Offering condolences from Percy's daughters. How wonderful that your wife and mother lived a long happy life. I am sure you all will miss her very much. It was always fun to come to your house. She was a good cook and always had the table full. I talked with Vivian and Twyla, and we agreed that we remember Judy best as she was near our age. Verda's parenting style was to give you cookies when you were hurt or unhappy. Dad loved his family very much and talked about Verda being fiesty when she was a girl. We have a letter that our Dad wrote to Grandma Lee after he left home. It said he saw "the kids" at the fair, and that Verda was real pretty and little Alice cried. I know that they all had a traumatic childhood, but they had each other and went on to make wonderful families of their own. Our mom died in April of 2000. She was living with me at the time. I was thankful that she was ill only a few days with pneumonia and thought she would get well, but she had congestive heart failure. She did not suffer and is buried here(her wish) and her last request. She was happier at the end of her life than when she was younger. I correspond with Uncle Lelands Mike via e-mail. He is intrested in family history. I will send his email address to you. I think I can find your addresses or get Judy's from Twyla. Blessings to you all as you grieve for your Mother. It is one of the most difficult times in life. May she find joy in the life everlasting. Clarence, I hope you are doing well. Love, Viv,, Twyla and Cindy. I will contact you later Judy, I have some pictures you might like to have.
