Lucille

   Lucille (Mrs. Carl) Stoeckel, age 83, of Faribault, died on Thursday,
July 5, 2007 at Infinia Health Care of Faribault.
   Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, on
Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Maynard Spitzack
officiating.  Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
   Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Friday,
July 6, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to
the service on Saturday.
   Lucille Marie, the daughter of Frank and Sophie (Thuleen) Schmidtke, was
born on October 3, 1923 in Faribault and was baptized on November 4, 1923 at
Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Morristown. She graduated from Morristown High
School and moved to Faribault in 1941. She married Carl Stoeckel on November
18, 1950.  He preceded her in death on June 30, 2003.  Lucille was employed
by J.C. Penney and F.W. Woolworth Co., both of Faribault, for many years.
Lucille will be remembered for her deep ability to care for others, her
generosity and her loving and caring spirit.
   She is survived by four sons, John (and Claire) Stoeckel of Waynesville,
NC, David (and Pam) Stoeckel of Lakewood, CO, Rick Stoeckel of Faribault and
Russ (and Monica) Stoeckel of Cottage Grove; many grandchildren and great
grandchildren; one sister, Audrey (and Glenn) Murphy of Maryland; and many
nieces, nephews and other relatives.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; two sons,
Daniel and Ronald Stoeckel; and her siblings, Arthur Schmidtke, Freda
Pelkey, Rosina Mensing, Helen Fenske, Eleanor Moreland, Gertrude Hermel,
Eileen Pittman, George Myre and Clifford Schmidtke.

Memories

Lucille was a gem. I have fond memories of her and my mother being room mothers for Danny and I when we went to Trinity. And later I had the honor of serving as room mothers with her when my daughter and Brian were in class together at Trinity. She was a wonderful woman and I will miss her. I find it hard to put into words just how special I felt Lucille was. Simply stated, they she made it easy to love her! Amy - don't be a stranger. Let us know when you are in town. We will miss you at Christmas services!

Memories

My sympathies on the great loss of Lucille. Lucille was one of the kindest most caring women I have ever known. I share in your families loss. I'm so glad I stopped about 5 yrs. ago and visited with both Carl and Lucille. My husband Tim and I have been living in Fort Wayne Indiana for 13 yrs. now.

Memories

Everyone should have someone like Lucille in their family! She was my Auntie and I couldn't have asked for a better one! Lucille and Carl were a big part of our lives, including our wedding. A visit to Faribault was not complete until we stopped to see them. Taking her on rides to see the fall foliage was always more enjoyable with her along. Judy and I will miss her! She left this world a much better place.

Memories

Lucille will be remembered in many ways. As a cousin while John and David were growing up, I have great memories of her laughter over the countless silly things we did together as kids. She particularly remembered and referred to quite often the "Baby Buggy" ride we took down the driveway on the farm. Sorry I cannot make it up for the funeral. My sympathy to the family. Memories

What i remember most about Lucille was the joy that she shared with her grandchildren. As a "mother in law", I still considered Lucille very much a MOM and treasure our times together we spent in the past. Her passion for garage sales was amazing. she wore me out most times searching for lots of bargains in a 50 mile radius. my trunk for my journey home would always be full of stuff. Her one journey to Montana was so great. She had spent a long time on a busride here and i was scheduled to go to Helena for my job. The long trip did not deter her. Off she went with Sara to our downtown shopping area on foot. And the next day she came with Sara and i up to Helena (a five hour ride), and spent the whole two days touring museums, capital and malls. Sara has great memories of that. I was thankful that she made this impromptu trip and for that week together. i regret that in later years contact waned but she will always be a big part of my life and memories,in my thoughts and prayers. always accepting. i miss her and think of her often.
