Gertrude E.
(Mrs. Harold) Sorgatz, age 81, of Morristown, died on Friday, January 30,
2009 at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault.
Funeral services will be at
Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Morristown, on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at
10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Dr. Eugene C. Chase, Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Concordia Cemetery, North Morristown.
Visitation will be held at the
Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Tuesday, February 3rd from 4
to 7 p.m. and also at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the
service.
Gertrude E., the daughter of Emil
and Margaret (Poehler) Krueger, was born on October 1, 1927 in
Morristown. She married Harold F. Sorgatz on October 7, 1947 in
Morristown. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1996. Gertrude was
formerly employed by Wilson & Co. of Faribault and she was also a
homemaker.
She is survived by three children,
David C. (and Judy) Sorgatz of Morristown; Jane (and Dennis) LaCanne of
Faribault and Carol Sorgatz of Rochester; nine grandchildren, Steven (and
Laura) Ell, David (and Michelle) Ell, Tony (and Jolene) Ell, Tressy (and
Joe) Stoltz, Cassie (and fiancé, Justin Lorenz) Sorgatz, Brandon Sorgatz,
Scott LaCanne, Brian (and Tricia) LaCanne and Stacy (and Erik) Carney; ten
great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Schulz of Faribault; and nieces,
nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and her husband, Harold.
