Warren

    Warren C. Sanborn, age 85 of Faribault died on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his home.
     Funeral services will be held at Hope United Methodist Church, Faribault on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Roger Grafenstein, officiating. Interment will be in Cannon City Cemetery.
     Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
     Warren, the son of Oscar E. and Agnes (Strunk) Sanborn, was born August 10, 1923 in Cannon City, Rice County, MN. He graduated from Faribault High School in 1943. Warren served in the U. S. Army and the Army Reserves. He married Virginia L. Iverson on August 20, 1950 in Faribault. He retired from the Minnesota State Highway Department construction division where he worked for 41 years. He was a devoted volunteer serving the Boy Scouts of America organization for over 30 years, Faribault Area Senior Citizens and several other organizations for many years.
     He is survived by his wife Virginia of Faribault; five children, Lynn Sanborn, Bruce (and Doreen) Sanborn, Joann all of Faribault, Carol Sanborn of Northfield, and Marlene (and Joel) Rindal of Greensboro, NC; seven grandchildren, Jason, Stacy and Bryan Sanborn, Madelyn, Matthew, Jack, Sam Rindal; two great grandchildren, Lexi and Logan Sanborn.
     He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Harry, Walter, Morris and Freeman Sanborn.
