John “Jack” Ruths

   Jack H. Ruths, Jr., age 66, of rural Faribault, died on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at his home, with family and loved ones beside him.
   A Memorial Service will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. with the Reverend Nancy Peebles officiating.
   A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Boldt Funeral Home on Saturday.
Jack Henry Ruths was born on December 31, 1941 in Waseca to John and Ruth (Smith) Ruths. He married Cheryl Wesley on August 29, 1999 in Deadwood, SD. Jack retired from Mercury Minnesota, Inc. after being employed there for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, racing, woodworking and most of all, his hobby farm.
   Jack is survived by his wife, Cheryl, the love of his life; two sons, John (and Felicia) Ruths of Colorado and Jake (and Christa) Ruths of Wisconsin; stepchildren, Melissa (and Terry) Jandro, Amy Wesley (and JimWest), and Matthew Wesley, all of Faribault; his mother, Ruth Ruths; one sister, JENean (and Carl) Mortenson; grandchildren, Joshua Ruths of Colorado, Devin Jandro, Jessica Davis and Eran Miller, all of Faribault; his mother in law, Elaine Wallgren; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
   He was preceded in death by his father, John Ruths, and his father in law, John Wallgren.

To Jack my brother who was the most wonderful brother any sister could have. I miss you so, all your daily calls to me and our long talks. Our laughing and talking of our families, our dogs who we both loved so much. Talking how much fun we had while growing up, driving Mom and Dad crazy. We had such good memories and love for each other and our families. Your life was cut short, but you had such a good life, but I'm not saying anyone of us was ready to let you go. We know you are in a better place but I have a great big hole in my heart, but one thing you are in heaven with Dad and at peace now.

I'm sorry for your loss. My father Don Remillard passed away on Dec 20th, 2007, he had many wonderful stories about Jack and the days at Mercury. May God bless you all and give you comfort.

Cheryl, Jeannie, Ruth and all the rest of the family...Our Sympathy goes out to you. Jack was much too young to leave this earth. But his suffering is over and he is at Peace. He will join all the rest of the Ancestors up in Heaven. We will remember him in our Prayers. God Bless him and his family.

Dear Cheryl and family, My sincere sympathy to you. Jack was a special guy and will be remembered fondly for his dedication to helping Mercury succeed. He was very talented in his trade and will also be remembered for the practical jokes he liked to pull on people here. You always had to watch it when you left him for fear there might be a sign left on your back. May you now find comfort in the wonderful memories you had with him.
