Your family are in our thoughts and prayers. You family was so kind to my brother Donnie when he was sick. I know he thought about you as not just friend but also family. You mom is now in heaven with both Dick and Donnie.

We met Zorene through my maternal grandmother and great aunt (twins!) when my Mom would take us up to see them in Faribault, starting in the 1950s. We have remained in touch all these years, and the last several years Mom and I have joined Zorene and her daughters and some of her granddaughters and great granddaughters for Mothers Day Weekend in a variety of places. We also were honored to attend Zorene's 90th Birthday Bash last summer! I never saw her without a smile on her face, a hug and a kiss for us. She had great strength of character, as well as a great enjoyment of life that she loved to share. We are so glad we could be a part of that, and were able to know and love her wonderful family. Truly, Barb and Jeanne Wagner

Zorene was the greatest neighbor to us! She and Chuck watched and took our daughter to preschool on Fridays when she was four and treated her like their own, fussing over her and thrilled they were asked. Laura still recalls how they she fooled them into thinking she hadn't had breakfast so they would make her some! She always had a smile and a story to tell, which we loved. We visited her a couple times since she moved and sent her Christmas cards updating her of the girls. I remember the stories she told when she was young, she was quite a girl! We extend our greatest sympathies for your loss because you cannot replace a Zorene. She was one heckuva a lady!
