Violet I. (Mrs. Leon) Kleist, age 98, of
Faribault and formerly of Medford died on Friday, January 2, 2009 at
Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault.
Services will be held on Monday, January 5,
2009 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Medford, with the Reverend Dean
Rudloff, officiating. Interment will be held at Meadow Ridge Memorial
Park, Faribault.
Visitation will be held in the church for
one hour prior to the services on Monday.
Arrangements are being completed by the
Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.
Violet I., the daughter of Herman and Ida (Streich)
Diers was born on November 8, 1910 in Howard Lake. She married Leon M.
Kleist on January 5, 1929 and he preceded her in death on January 14,
1979. She was a homemaker but also clerk at local grocery stores in
Medford. She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Medford.
She loved her family and gardening.
She is survived by three children, Keith
(and Joanita) Kleist of Scottsdale, Arizona, Janet Wallaker of Faribault
and Judy (and Bruce) Hankerson of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren;
seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Leon; her parents; one son in law, Donald Wallaker; three brothers; and
one sister.
