(Mrs. Roland) Miller, age 88 of Morristown died on Wednesday, April 30, 2008
at St. Lucas Care Center, Faribault.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m.
at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Waterville with the Reverend Michael Ince
officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waterville.
Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on
Sunday, May 4 from 2 to 6 p.m. as well as at the church for one hour prior
to the service on Monday.
Lillian Bertha Dumdei was born May 12, 1919 in Alma City, Waseca
County, to Otto and Emma (Schroeder) Dumdei. She attended school in Alma
City and briefly worked for the Gardner Family in Janesville prior to
marriage. On April 19, 1944, she married Roland Miller in Iosco, Waseca
County and together they farmed in the Waterville and Morristown area.
An artistic soul, Lillian was an accomplished seamstress. She loved
to paint and arrange flowers. She always enjoyed taking time out to have
coffee and visit with others; and, whether they were from high school,
college or the neighborhood, getting to know the “kids” held a special joy
for her.
She is survived by four children, Glenn (and Kathy) Miller of
Owatonna, Dale Miller of Hampton, Janeen Miller of Mapleton and Marlys
Miller (and Tony Smick) of Madison, Wis; two grandsons, Chris Miller and
Jake Weis of Owatonna; one sister, Esther Hinze of Reedsburg, Wis; one
brother, Vincent (and Helen) Dumdei of St. Peter; and four sisters in law,
Ronnie Dumdei of Bainbridge Island, Wash., Pat Dumdei of Janesville, Lila
Dumdei of Sumner, Wash., and Jean Dumdei of Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roland on
July 27, 2001; one sister, Sadie Martin and six brothers, Walter, Alvin,
Ernest, Albert, Martin and Raymond Dumdei.
