Dear Pat and family, I go on the Winona Daily News website on a regular basis. When I saw the name Betty McLaughlin I checked it out. My sincere sympathy to you. Do you remember when I stayed with your family back in the 50's? I remember Betty as a vibrant young woman going to H.S. and a hard worker. I have many happy memories of your family. I remember when Betty and Dave got married in the little church down the street. I still have a picture of you in your bridesmaid dress helping the little flower girls up the steps. Have thought of you, Patty, and wanted to call when I got to Winona but never did. Hope to be up again this summer. Trust in the Lord. He has promised to be with us and help us in all our trials and tribulation. My love, Faye
Your family has our deepest sympathy. You are in our thoughts and prayers with the passing of your mother Betty. They were great neighbors and we enjoyed our visits through the years. Betty always had a smile and wanted to know how everyone in the neighborhood was doing when we would see her. Our kids still talk about Dave and Betty. They will never forget the train ride your dad gave them. Steve and Pat Forshee
I was sadden to hear of the lost of Betty. She would come into Cub Foods where I work and buy fruit. I will miss talking to her. Sorry for your loss. Betty was a great person and will be missed.
Patrick And Lori, Carroll and I are so sorry for you both. We know that there are no words that can make the hurt less. But know that we are thinking of you and that you are in out prayers. Love Carroll & Ann Schmidtknecht

We were saddened this morning to read that your mom had passed away. Betty was a very special person. We met Betty at McDonalds and she always took such good care of her customers. She had a kind word to share with everyone. She was very proud of her family and would often share stories of her travels with her faimily with us. We will miss being greeted by Betty when we visit McDonalds. We will miss her. Our sympathy to her family. Charlie & Sharon
