Florian

     Florian F. Kubes, age 74 of Faribault, died on Friday, August 8, 2008 at his home.
     Memorial services will be held at Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church, Faribault on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend David E. Brown officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault with military rites by the Rice County Veterans Association.
      Memorial visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Monday, August 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. and also at church for one prior to the service on Tuesday.
      Florian Francis, the son of John and Mary (Tupy) Kubes was born August 17, 1933 in New Prague. He graduated from Faribault High School and served in the U.S. Army. On June 30, 1956, he married Eileen Chambers at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Faribault. Florian was previously employed with Treasure Cave & IFP both of Faribault and Cub Foods of Apple Valley.
      He is survived by his wife, Eileen; six children, Linda Kubes of Faribault, Patti (and Arlen) Kensinger of Fort Collins, CO, Bob (and Sandy) Kubes of Red Wing, Carol (and Rogelio Gomez) Kubes of Minneapolis, Shelly (and Jeff Kotula) Kubes of Faribault and Mike Kubes of Faribault; nine grandchildren, Laura and Ryan Kensinger, Rob and Halli Kubes, Tony, Francesca, Luis and Angelina Kubes and Michael Fitzherbert; three siblings, Benedict Kubes of Faribault, Ralph Kubes of Wyoming, MN and Hedwig DeMars of Faribault and many nieces and nephews.
      He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John, Joseph, Gilbert, and Blaze Kubes; and two sisters, Genevieve Trahan and Mary Ann Paquette.
