Karsten, age 26, of Faribault, died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Owatonna.
A memorial service will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home,
Faribault on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Garry
Rosenau officiating. Interment will be in Lands Lutheran Cemetery, Zumbrota.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home on
Wednesday, July 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. and also for one hour prior to the
service on Thursday.
Brandon Michael, the son of Michael Karsten and Susan (Weeks)
Briones, was born September 24, 1981 in Zumbrota. Brandon attended Faribault
High School and enjoyed sports, music and photography.
He is survived by his mother, Susan (and Nicolas) Briones of
Faribault; his father, Michael Karsten of Faribault; step-father, Kevin
Poncelet of Zumbrota; three siblings, Natalie (and Jim) Buening of IN,
Matthew Poncelet and Pearla Briones, both of Faribault; grandparents, Perry
and Diane Weeks of Battle Lake and Milton Poncelet of Bellchester; nieces,
Olivia and Brooke; aunts and uncles, Tom (and Peggy) Weeks of Kenyon, Mark
(and Lee Curry) Weeks of London, England, Heather (and Michael) McCarty of
LaCrosse, WI, Gene (and Mary) Poncelet of Pine Island, David Poncelet of
Bellchester, Leah (and Steve) Kent of Owatonna, Joe (and Jo) Poncelet of
Bellchester, Dan (and Jackie) Poncelet of Bellchester, Marge (and Chris)
Gardner of Owatonna, and Gerard Poncelet of Mazeppa; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Ann Poncelet and
an uncle, Mark Karsten.
