Arthur "Pete"

   Arthur F. "Pete" Jones, age 82, of Faribault, died on early Saturday
morning, September 8, 2007 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault.
   Services will be at the Celebration of Life Assembly, Faribault on
Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Donn Jibben,
officiating.  Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park,
Faribault.
   Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Tuesday,
September 11, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. and also in the church for one hour
prior to the services on Wednesday.
   Arthur Franklin, the son of George Samuel "Sam" and Fern (Preston) Jones
was born on January 17, 1925 in Deerfield Township, rural Steele County.  On
October 24, 1946 he married Helen D. Karow in Faribault.  He farmed and
enjoyed raising his sheep  and also he owned and operated Art Jones
Livestock Hauling. Prior to his retirement was employed by McQuay¹s of
Faribault for 20 years.
   He is survived by his wife, Helen; two children, Lindy Snesrud-Hogan of
Faribault and Larry (and Renae) Jones of Faribault; five grandchildren,
Shane (and Heather) Snesrud, Jesse Snesrud, Ray (and Dawn) Snesrud, Jeremy
Jones and Crystal Jones; seven great grandchildren; one great great
granddaughter; one sister Helen Newman of Morristown; nieces; nephews and
other relatives and friends.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Jones; two
sisters, Shelly Will and Ione Jones; and one nephew, James Jones.
