Gladys

     Gladys J. Hoban, age 88, of Faribault, died on Monday, July 2, 2007 at
District One Hospital, Faribault.
   Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, on Friday,
July 6, 2007 at 11 a.m.  Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery,
Faribault.
   Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Thursday,
July 5, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to
the service on Friday.
   Gladys June, the daughter of Henry and Alice (McNeely) Van Houdt, was
born June 27, 1919 in Faribault.  She married Roland P. Hoban on March 29,
1938 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault. He preceded her in death on May
13, 1997.  She was previously employed by Randy's Meats and the Faribault
Regional Center.  Gladys enjoyed spending time with her family and making
jam and candy.
   She is survived by three daughters, Kay (and Henry) Von Ruden of
Faribault, Michele "Mickey" Koester of Nerstrand and Teresa (and John C.)
Miller of Faribault; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great
great granddaughter; one half sister, Margaret "Peggy" (and David) LeMieux
of Faribault; and one half brother, James (and Carol) Van Houdt of St. Paul.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rollie; one
daughter, Patricia DuChene; one son in law, Larry Koester and one
granddaughter, Melissa Miller.

Dear Jim, Carol & Family, Peggy & Family, I am so sorry this is so late in arriving. I was saddened to hear read about the death of your sister, Gladys, and all that she meant to you since your early childhood. I remember chatting with here often when I would be with Jim at your home. She would be there often visiting with your Mother. Her and Rollie were quit the couple. Many laughs from both of them. They were both characters in their own right. May you retain all the wonderful memories and what she meant to you. And may she rest in peace. Take care, and God Bless.
