   Arlene M. (Mrs. Duwayne “Bud”) Fischer, age 80, formerly of Faribault died peacefully from complications of diabetes on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Edina surrounded by her loving family.
   A celebration of her life will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Bernadette Tatge, Pastoral Minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.
   Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home on Friday for one hour prior to the service.
   Arlene Mary was born February 6, 1928 in Madison Lake, MN and moved to Faribault where she lived for many years and raised  her family. On September 10, 1947 she married Duwayne “Bud” Fischer at Madison Lake. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1991. Her family was her life, and she enjoyed the fun and laughter of many family events. She also enjoyed spending time with her family fishing and camping in northern Minnesota.
   She is survived by her six children, Linda (and Bruce) Sterling of Faribault, Douglas (and Barbara) Fischer of Woodbury, Diane Fischer of Champlin, James Fischer of Grand Rapids, Cheryl (and Greg) Hoffard of Marshall and John (and Paula) Fischer of Plainsfield, IL; a sister, Harriet Schmidt of Madison Lake and a sister in law, Phyllis Kotz of Northfield. She will be sadly missed by her 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, friends and many other relatives.
   She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Duwayne “Bud” Fischer, her parents and two grandsons.
   While flowers are preferred, memorials may be designated to the American Diabetes Association.
