   Arthur S. Erickson, age 91 of Kenyon and formerly Faribault died on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Kenyon Sunset Home.
   Memorial Services will be held at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend David Hurtt officiating. Interment will be in the Spring in the Hegre Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Kenyon.
   Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, February 17 from 2 to 5 p.m. and also at church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.
   Arthur Stewart, the son of Selmer and Annie (Clevan) Erickson was born January 11, 1917 in Kenyon. He married Ruby Kyllo on December 28, 1941 in Wanamingo and she preceded him in death on August 7, 2002. Art served in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He farmed in the Skyberg area where he and his brother Lester later owned a trucking company. Later, they moved to Iowa City where Art worked for Sun Oil Co. for 23 years until retirement.
   He is survived by one son, Douglas of Minneapolis and many nieces, nephews and In laws.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby; one sister, Arlette Brekke and three brothers, Roland, Lester and Raymond Erickson.
   Memorial gifts may be directed to Hegre Lutheran Church, Kenyon Sunset Home or Faribault Area Hospice.

Memories

Art always had a twinkle in his eye and a ready smile. He loved to tease in a gentle sort of way that could make a person laugh. He really liked to tease Ruby- and could always manage to get a rise out of her. My daughter's comment about Art "He was always fun for and old man". He entertained her more than once as she was growing up and spent time with the Great Aunts and Uncles.
