Lawrence J.
Bleninger, age 78, of Faribault, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at his
home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2008
at Christ Lutheran Church, Faribault with the Reverend Craig Breimhorst,
officiating. Interment and military rites will be held at Fort Snelling
National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Visitation will be held in the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on
Thursday, January 31, 2008 from 3 to 7 p.m. and also in the church for one
hour prior to the services on Friday.
Lawrence J., the son of Herman and Esther (Redmann) Bleninger was
born on December 21, 1929 in Lucan. He married Evelyn Marilyn Beadell on
September 2, 1955 in Echo. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean
Conflict. He was formerly employed by Northwest Standard of Minneapolis,
Land O’Lakes of Browerville, and retired from the Faribault Regional Center
after 13 years of employment. He loved hunting, fishing and flying his
airplane.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; five children, Pam (Bleninger)
Motzko of Eagle Lake, Julie (and Michael) Erickson of Minnetonka, Judy (and
Kevin) Lemm of Waseca, Kerry (and Karlene) Bleninger of Faribault and Scott
(and Annette) Bleninger of Hastings; a sister in law, Dorothy Beadell of
Faribault; 10 grandchildren, Jill (and Jonathan) Rausch, Nicole (and fiancé
Ryan Gritz) Motzko, Kelli Motzko, Kendall Erickson, Stacy (and John)
Slattery, Jesse Lemm, Ashley Lemm, Zachery Bleninger, Dain Bleninger and
Brianna Bleninger; siblings, Clarence (and Lorraine) Bleninger of New
Brighton, Grace Villareal of Santee, CA, Allan (and Ethel) Bleninger of
Browerville and James (and Marilyn) Bleninger of Cando, ND; one sister in
law Gloria Bleninger of Browerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.
