Keith E. Anderson, age 82, of
Faribault, died peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Pleasant Manor
Nursing Home, Faribault, surrounded by his wife and children.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August
18, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church at Immaculate
Conception, Faribault. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park,
Faribault, with military rites conducted by Central Veterans Association.
Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home,
Faribault, on Sunday, August 17, 2008 from 3 to 8 p.m. and also at the
church on Monday for one hour prior to the service.
Keith Ernest Anderson, the son of Ernest and Anna (Yanok) Anderson, was born
on December 26, 1925 in Faribault. He graduated from Faribault High School
in 1944 and served in the US Marine Corps during WWII. He married Loraine F.
Streeter on February 14, 1948 in Minneapolis. Keith was employed by McQuay
International of Faribault as a computer programmer for 19 years. He also
operated “The Popcorn Stand” by the Dairy Queen for 11 years and served as a
Foster Grandparent at Jefferson School for 12 years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lori; two sons,
Michael (and Peggy) Anderson of Minneapolis and David (and Gail) Anderson of
Faribault; two daughters, Kathleen (and Barry) Hendrickson of Faribault and
Karen (and Tom) King of Roseville; nine grandchildren, Aaron (and Jill)
Anderson, Brian Anderson (and Emily Kita), Jennifer (and Mark) Umbreit,
Katie (and Justin) Schram, Amy (and Jed) Retherford, Conor Anderson (and
Rachel Noggle), Jason (and Emily) Anderson, Sarah (and Jonathan) Tishler and
Matthew Hendrickson (and Breanne Doroff); five great grandchildren, Jonah,
Meredith, Joseph, Zophia and Isabelle; one sister, Paralee Lamberty of
Cannon Falls; his mother in law, Evelyn Streeter of New Hope; and other
relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one
sister, Eva Jane Matthies; and his father in law, Earl B. Streeter.
