Belva J.
(Mrs. Francis) Woods, age 81, of Faribault, died on Tuesday, June 2, 2009
at St. Lucas Care Center, Faribault.
Mass of
Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at
Divine Mercy Catholic Church at Sacred Heart, Faribault with the Reverend
Fernando Ortega officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery,
Faribault.
Visitation
will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, June 4th
from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at the church on Friday for one hour prior to
the service.
Belva Jeanne
Kenow, the daughter of Harry E. “Jack” and Mildred V. (Chadwick) Kenow,
was born on April 23, 1928 in Faribault. She graduated from Faribault
High School in 1946 and married Francis J. Woods on June 5, 1946. He
preceded her in death on February 20, 1998.
She is
survived by four children, Nancy (and Phillip, Sr.) Andersen of Las Vegas,
NV, Dennis (and Cindy) Woods of Nerstrand, Randy (and Eva) Woods of
Faribault and Terri (and Vivek) Murari of Longview, WA; 11 grandchildren,
Phillip Jr., Chad, NanLee, Molly, Jamie, Jennifer, Shelly, Angie, Misty,
Eric and Emma; and 8 great grandchildren.
She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis; one granddaughter,
Nanette Andersen; one brother, Gerald Kenow; and twin siblings in infancy.
