Helen L. (Heggedahl)
Wolkenhauer, age 89, of Kenyon, went home to be with her beloved husband,
Art Wolkenhauer on Wednesday, October 15, 2008.
Memorial services will be held at Kenyon United Methodist Church on
Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 4 p.m. with the Reverend Dana Houck
officiating. Interment will be in Kenyon Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the
services on Saturday.
Helen Lucille Heggedahl, the daughter of Louis and Amanda (Ellingboe)
Heggedahl was born June 9, 1919 in Hamblin, MT. She graduated from Kenyon
High School with the Class of 1937. She married Art Wolkenhauer on March 5,
1938. Together they farmed in the Kenyon area until their retirement. Art
preceded her in death on March 24, 1992. Helen volunteered at the Thrift
Shop in Kenyon and was a member of the Ladies Aid of Kenyon United Methodist
Church.
She is survived by a son, Gary (and Dott) Wolkenhauer of Kenyon;
six grandchildren, Sandy (and Scott) Hanson of Cannon Falls, Jim Wolkenhauer
of West Concord, Vickie Amundson on the home farm in rural Kenyon, Robert
(and Lisa) Wolkenhauer of Faribault, Carolee (and Lynn) Miller of Kenyon and
Jean (and Brian) Ramthun of Grasston; great grandchildren, James (and Cyndi)
Wolkenhauer, David and Bethany Wolkenhauer, Quentin and Kayla Amundson,
Jeremy, Megan and Robert Wolkenhauer, Brianna and Taylor Miller, Dean
Wolkenhauer, David, Daniel, Kyle and Dylan Ramthun; great, great
grandchildren, Bailey, Tegan and Carter Mattson-Wolkenhauer and Brayton
Meyer; three brothers, Myron Heggedahl of Kenyon, Donald (and Alice)
Heggedahl of Hayfield and Alan (and Virginia) Heggedahl of Floodwood; and
nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Art; and a
brother, Arthur.
