Irene A. (Mrs. Donald) Trahan, age 84 of Faribault died on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at District One Hospital, Faribault.
   Funeral services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
   Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. and also for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
   Irene Anna, the daughter of Arthur and Martha (Ruehl) Scholljegerdes, was born December 5, 1924. She married Herbert Walker and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1964. She later married Donald Trahan on June 2, 1978 in Faribault. Irene was formerly employed at Bauer’s Shell and as a product demonstrator at Nelson’s County Market, both of Faribault.
   She is survived by her husband, Don; one son, Gary (and Sandy) Walker of Faribault; three daughters, Julie Foster of Minneapolis, Kathy (and Dennis) Hensel of Faribault and Trayce (and David) Karow of Owatonna; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Gasner of Claremont and one brother, Marlyn (and Ruth) Scholljegerdes of Medford.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Herbert; a daughter, Debra; a son in infancy, Wayne and a brother, LeRoy.
