Cora

     Cora M. (Mrs. Hugo) Preuss, age 101, of Faribault, died on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault.
     Funeral services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 3 p.m. with the Reverend Robert L. Mundahl and the Reverend Maynard Spitzack officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.
     Visitation will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
     Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.
Cora M. P. Meinke, the daughter of Henry and Carolina (Eisert) Meinke, was born on April 11, 1907. She married Hugo H. Preuss on June 27, 1928 in Waterville and he preceded her in death on March 8, 1976. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church Ladies Guild, enjoyed sewing and gardening and loved to spend time with her family. Cora was able to stay in her home until she was nearly 100 years old.
     She is survived by four daughters, Janet Dunker of Faribault, Lola Staley of Waseca, Lorna (and Kenneth) Schmitz of Purlear, NC and Helen (and Richard) Shockley of Salisbury, MD; 20 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren and two sisters in law, Ann (and Donald) Wegner of Morristown and Virginia Meinke of Faribault.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugo; a daughter, Dolores Pike; a son, Hugo, Jr., three sons in law, Oliver Dunker, John Staley and Darell Pike; two granddaughters, Colleen Dunker and Caroline Van Guilder; and two brothers, Henry and Walter Meinke.
