Steven J. Matejcek, age 44, of Faribault,
died on Monday, December 29, 2008 at his home in his sleep.
A time of gathering will be held at the
Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 1 to 3
p.m.
Interment will be held at Fort Snelling
National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Steven James, the son George B. and Bonnie L. (Chase) Matejcek was born on December 29, 1964 in Owatonna. He served in the U. S. Army and was formerly employed by the Turkey Store, Genova and McQuay’s all of Faribault.
He is survived by his significant other,
Linda Hengel of Faribault; three children, Nicholas (and Cassandra Wilson)
Matejcek of Medford, Stephanie (and Jake Cooklin) Matejcek and Amber
Matejcek of Medford; one granddaughter, Marley Cooklin; three siblings,
Mary Ann (and Bill) Honken of Owatonna, Shirley (and Charles) Winslett of
Owatonna and Lora Matejcek of Owatonna; and his extended family, Jason
Ahlman, Jenni Ahlman (and Jeremy Gruber), Brandon Ahlman and Jackie Ahlman.
He was preceded in death by his father,
George.

Wow! This is a huge shocker. I used to work with Steve, he was always good for a laugh. My deepest sympathy for his family and his extended family.

He was one that felt he had to right the wrong. I can remember some conflicts he had growing up because someone was being mean and he just was not going to let that be. He truly had a heart the loved very deeply. He will be missed. A man of courage and a passion to right the wrong. God Bless
