Clara A. H. (Mrs. Floyd) Kratt, age 101 of
Morristown, died on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Pleasant Manor Nursing
Home, Faribault.
Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem
Lutheran Church, Morristown on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 11 a.m. with
the Reverend Dr. Eugene C. Chase, officiating. Interment will be in
Riverside Cemetery, Morristown.
Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral
Home, Faribault on Tuesday, March 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. and at church for
one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Clara Agnes Henrietta, the daughter of
Frederick and Marie (Gehrke) Geisler was born January 11, 1908 in Blooming
Grove Township, Waseca County. She graduated from Morristown High School
in 1926. She worked for TriState Telephone Co., Faribault as a telephone
operator and Ernste Radtke Plumbing, Faribault as a bookkeeper. Clara
married Floyd Kratt on September 4, 1933 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church,
Morristown and together they farmed in the Morristown area until
retirement. Floyd preceded her in death on September 24, 1999.
Clara is survived by her four children,
James (and Judy) Kratt of Savage, Katherine (and Mel) Treder of St.
Germain, WI, Alice (and Rev. Robert) Smith of Frankenmuth, MI, and Edith
Kratt of Northfield; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great
great grandchildren; two sisters in law, Catherine Geisler of Faribault
and Darlene Geisler of White Bear Lake and one brother in law, Wally
Schmidtke of Faribault.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents;
her husband, Floyd; one daughter, Marie Fuchs; one granddaughter, Merrie
Lynn Wolter; five sisters, Alma Quiram, Helena Bokelmann, Irene Kratt,
Augusta Schmidtke and Martha Krause; and two brothers, Daniel and Robert
Geisler.

Hello -- just read the artical about your Mom ...... she was quite a person .... whenever we got back to Minnesota we alway's saw her at church & alway's with a smile & never forgot me......I did the babysitting some times so they could go to a party or whatever.....that was many moon's ago for sure & I didn't know that Marie has passed away........Katie was the cutest little girl when she was born & alway's had that smile..........When I stop & think of all the year's that we have been gone from Minnesota it is almst scary to remember how many of Clara's generation have gone on already & how they are missed & now it is our generation who have started leaving all of us.........Morristown will never be forgotten for all these wonderful caring people & great memories............our thought's & prayer's are to her family & deepest sympathy......... Arlette M. Hogan --- a great friend she was........if you ever have a time to send me a note about you kid's -- hahah I will be happy to hear about you & sad to know Marie is gone but I'm sure she is with her Mom & dad & now smiling for all of you ...........
