Bertram, age 93, of Morristown, died on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Plum
House, Morristown.
Funeral
services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, on Thursday, May
28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Steven J. Kuehne officiating.
Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
Visitation
will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Wednesday, May 27th
from 4 to 8 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to the service
on Thursday.
Max, the son
of Frank and Martha (Rossow) Bertram, was born on September 30, 1915 in
Shieldsville Township, Rice County. He married Elvira Kuball on September
4, 1941 at Trinity Lutheran Church, North Morristown. She preceded him in
death on February 20, 1997. Max was a lifelong farmer in the Warsaw and
Cannon City Township areas and was also employed in commercial trucking
and by Four County Ag of Morristown. He especially enjoyed working with
his horses and will be remembered for being a hardworking farmer and a
wonderful husband, dad and grandpa.
He is
survived by three children, Daniel (and Jackie) Bertram of Esterbrook, WY,
Gene Bertram (and Lois Stangler) of Warsaw and Bev (and Chuck) Rutz of
Jordan; seven grandchildren, Troy Bertram, Tami Bertram, Joshua Bertram,
Elizabeth Gruber, Chazi Blacksher, Chayci Rutz, Jennifer Evanson; six
great grandchildren, Tanner Max Bertram, Hannah DeMars, Madison DeMars,
Adien Gruber, Skylar Marie Bertram and Kaylie Bertram; one sister,
Marcella Feneis of Faribault; and many nieces, nephews and other
relatives.
He was
preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elvira; seven sisters, Elsie
Johnson, Erna Jensen, Ruth Austin, Elfrieda Kaiaipoepoe, Leona Sammon,
Sophie Johnson and Mildred Henry; and one brother and one sister in
infancy.
