Betty J. (Mrs. Marvin) Bauernfeind, age 80, of Faribault, died on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at St. Lucas Care Center, Faribault.
   Memorial services will be held at St. Luke’s Church, Faribault, on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Aaron Brockmeier officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
   Memorial visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Sunday, September 20th from 1 to 4 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.
   Betty Jane, the daughter of Chris C.F. and Violet (Burgess) Bauer, was born August 22, 1929 in Faribault. She graduated from Faribault High School in 1947 and attended Mankato State University. She married Marvin Bauernfeind on August 14, 1948 at St. Luke’s Church, Faribault. Betty was previously employed with Red Owl Grocery, Faribault and Brockway Glass, Rosemount. She was a faithful servant of her church and she also enjoyed reading, sewing and altering clothes for others.
   She is survived by her husband, Marvin; four children, Kathie (and Stanley) Hanson of Faribault, Linda Nelson of Faribault, Susan (and Samuel) Rollins of Northfield and Mark Bauernfeind of Faribault; seven grandchildren, Nathan Hanson (and friend, Kristi Kodada), Jill (and Travis) Molitor, Stacy Nelson, Kevin Nelson, Jamie Rollins, Cari Bauernfeind and Aaron Bauernfeind; and four great grandchildren, Ashley and Kylie Molitor, Nash Doucette and Marisa Parkos.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; a stillborn son; a brother, Duane Bauer; a sister, Maxine Dennis and a son in law, Donald Nelson.
